Taking care of older patients is rewarding!
Taking care of our older patients is very rewarding because of the stories and lives they have had. Connecting with these patients is always a pleasure. Taking care of them, however, requires a different skill set that not only takes care of their diseases but capitalizes on their abilities and strengths while helping them work with their disabilities and decline.
The framework that is taught brings out the needed monitoring, screening, intervention and relationship needed to help the patient seek the best level of functioning they can.
